Tashi Deleg and Namaste

We welcome all those keen on taking part in the remarkable spirit of volunteerism. By contributing your time, service, knowledge, skills and other resources, you not only make a very important social and economic contribution to the school, you also choose to engage in the development of these young individuals you will be acquainted with.

The Program
You can work with us in two ways: as a teaching volunteer or a non-teaching volunteer.

Teaching volunteers, depending on their level of comfort, partake in teaching English, math, science or social studies to classes varying from kindergarten up till grade 7. You can also organize or participate in games, painting sessions or other creative activities. You will have three to four hours of class a day, the first five days of the week; and one to two hours of class on Saturdays.
Keeping in mind the fact that those of you taking classes will be working very closely with the children, we are able to only accept volunteers who can make a commitment of three weeks at the least.

Non-teaching volunteers contribute to the school by providing other necessary services such as organizing health awareness sessions and discussions, cleaning the school premises, lending a helping hand in any construction taking place at the school, and so on.
